The weekend began with one-design races on Friday, July 28, 2006 and was scheduled to continue into the regatta races on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30.  The weather did not cooperate on Sunday, however, and racing was first postponed to allow a severe storm to pass, then later cancelled due to lack of wind.  “It was unfortunate that we lost a day of racing, but the weather on both Friday and Saturday could not have been better” said Race Chairman JackMartin.
