This event once again promises to be
the highlight of the summer racing season.

The 48th LTYC Regatta will be held July 25-27, 2008. Once again, the main regatta will be a two-day event, Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27, and the One-Design portion will be a three-day event, July 25-27. In addition, we have a third event.

We are pleased to announce that LTYC has been selected to host the 2008 Rolex US-IRC National Championship as part of the LTYC Regatta, July 25-27. The IRC event, expected to draw up to 50 top-flight boats and crews to Harbor Springs, will include three races each on Friday and Sunday, and the traditional tour-of-the-bay on Saturday. IRC, the standard racing rule in many parts of the world, has been gaining traction in the United States. We are excited to be able to showcase our beautiful racing venue in this prestigious event. All Regatta entrants are encouraged to obtain their 2008 endorsed IRC certificates in order to participate in the IRC Championship.

As a result of feedback from many past participants, this year we will replace our traditional tour-of-the-bay race on Sunday with three windward-leeward races on multiple courses. Thus, the one-design boats and IRC contestants will have a total of seven races, while the two-day regatta entrants will have four.
